As we make our final preparations for tomorrow's hotfix (for Dec 7th), I wanted to give you a head's up of some of the things we will see in the update.

The Shoot-Through-Friendlies Functionality that Tslothrop posted about on November 29th will be included. There was one issue with this change that had to do with special abilities needing a target to go off. We know about this and it has been cleared up for the hotfix.

On Friday, we published an update to Test Center that included a quest XP cap for experience points. The change only affects the total amount of experience points you can earn for a single quest (and nothing else). Basically, it is a quest XP Cap, but it only affects the total amount of experience points you can earn for a single quest. We changed the update notes based on your comments. We hope this makes more sense to everyone:

When earning experience points from quests, you can only earn up to 50% of the total number of experience points needed to reach the next level. For example, it will always take at least 2 quests to earn 1 combat level.

Another change for quest XP that has been made for tomorrow is that experience points for all quests up to level 20 have been increased.

For those of you who have been following community's request for Double XP, we should have some good news for you soon (in a couple of days or sooner). We're just waiting for the final details on when it's going to happen before we announce it.

We have some of the quest fixes ready for this update as well.

For those doing the Jabba's Palace/Bib Fortuna quests, Romo Vax will spawn with the correct name near the Sennex bunker and we have also increased his spawning time so he can be more available for you to frag if there are a bunch of people doing the quest at the same time.

On the Bug Hunt quest, you'll be getting the correct waypoints to the "infested areas". Knowing where the infested areas are should really help out . The other quest fix in this update is with Mayor Mikdanyell's quests in Mos Eisley. He has three NPC's that he sends you to for quests; Purvis, Paewp and Entha. When you finish each leg of the quest, the NPC should now have a final visit. This change should make it clearer that you have to go back to the Mayor for the next quest in the series. Once you finish with the Mayor, he should send you on to the next storyline of quests.

We know there are some other Legacy quest issues that the community wants to see addressed. We'll see many of those fixed in Publish 26 and we'll get that information out to you shortly.

Lastly, we have a couple of changes to the UI.

The first has to do with the ESC key. With the update, you will be able to use the ESC key to clear your target box. This simply clears your target. If you are in combat or have an object, NPC or creature targeted, the system will re-target what you have your cursor over. This should help some of the targeting issues. Now, this will not end combat. You have to be out of combat and off of creature/NPC hate lists for combat to end.

The other change to the UI is that we corrected the mouse-mode toggling on the Character Sheet. Before, when you closed your character sheet, it would close a bunch of other windows also (such as your inventory screen).

That wrap's it up for this update. I know everyone is anxious for more and we're working on it. Next, I'll be working on getting some of the details about Publish 26 ready.

Note: The edit is to cover the hotfix schedule. The hotfix has been moved to Wednesday. We'll let you know if anything else changes.

The scheduled downtime is still going to happen.
